These terms of participation govern the free use of Bettie. By registering, you accept these terms.
Bettie is a free prediction game operated by Axel Springer Deutschland GmbH. These terms apply to the website, the mobile iOS app and every function offered through them.
Bettie uses only free virtual credits. Credits are provided free of charge and cannot be transferred, paid out or exchanged for money, goods or services. Predictions use neither money nor anything of monetary value, and there is no claim to any reward outside the app.
Bettie is available only to people aged 18 or over. You confirm this when registering, provide accurate and current information and keep your access credentials secret. Only one account is permitted per person. We may suspend or delete accounts where there is reasonable suspicion of abuse, manipulation or a breach of these terms.
Use Bettie fairly and lawfully. Prohibited conduct includes automated or manipulated participation, exploiting technical errors, bypassing limits, disrupting the service, and unlawful, abusive or misleading content in proposals, leagues or descriptions.
Predictions can be submitted only within the displayed deadlines. Markets and league polls close and resolve under the rules shown in the app. We may void markets in the event of errors, unclear data, event cancellation or suspected manipulation. Displayed probabilities, virtual-credit returns and leaderboards are part of the game and create no claim outside Bettie.
You are responsible for your display names, public tags and market or league proposals. You confirm that your content does not infringe third-party rights and is not unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or misleading. We may technically filter content before publication, review reported content, remove it for a rule violation and suspend accounts to protect other users. You can report visible content and block accounts directly in the app; urgent reports can also be sent through the published support contact. You grant us a simple, royalty-free right to store, display and process this content within Bettie where necessary for moderation and technical delivery of the service.
We aim to operate Bettie reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may develop or discontinue functions, markets and rules where objectively justified. We will communicate material changes to these terms in an appropriate form and with reasonable notice.
We have unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical loss. Liability for other slight negligence is excluded. Statutory claims remain unaffected.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
